3 SIGNS IT MIGHT BE TIME FOR YOU TO CATCH UP ON SLEEP‼️⁣ .⁣ Not sure about you, but spending quality time with my pillow and the backs of my eyelids is high on my priority list!⁣ .⁣ Why so high you ask?⁣ .⁣ Well not only is it pure bliss but a good night sleep is so important for our overall health! And if you're not getting enough quality sleep each night, it can be extremely detrimental for our bodies. ⁣ .⁣ Sometimes the symptoms of sleep deprivation can fly under the radar, but most of the time, it will hit you like a bag of bricks! That being said, here are 5 BIG signs that you need to be getting more sleep and better quality too.⁣ .⁣ 1️⃣ You wake up tired - Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much you sleep. You could sleep for 6 hours or you could sleep for 12 hours and somehow you’ll still wake up tired. How is that possible? The most obvious reason for this is that somewhere along your schedule your sleep quality is diminishing.⁣ .⁣ Some of the most common reasons for this are staring at screens (and more specifically, blue light) for a long time before bed, overeating at night, or even just a poor, chaotic sleep schedule. ⁣ .⁣ 2️⃣ Your productivity is noticeably lower - When you get good quality sleep (meaning you reach the deepest stage of sleep), your body’s lymphatic system essentially cleans out accumulated waste from the brain. If you don’t reach that stage of sleep, you’ll likely experience memory impairment, daytime fatigue, and lack of focus throughout the day.⁣ .⁣ 3️⃣ Massive cravings - Lack of sleep increases the production of ghrelin, the hunger hormone, and decreases the production of leptin, a hormone related to satiety. If you’re getting random cravings that you usually don’t get on a proper sleep schedule, that’s a clear sign right there that you need to bump up sleep on your priority list.⁣ .⁣ Do you get any of the above symptoms?
